Finding the Buying Keywords

Maybe you run a website or a blog, perhaps several of them. You may even be having some good success as an affiliate marketer. In this article I want to write about the importance of finding the buying keywords. Once you have found it and you begin to utilize it, the profits begin to rise and your time, effort can begin to fall.

What is a 'Buying Keyword'?

Imagine being in the shoes of someone looking to buy something on the internet. Lets say you want to lose some weight. Now someone who is thinking about losing a bit of weight may type in something like 'weight loss tips'. They will find tons of information, but they may not buy anything as they are just hunting for some information and details on how to do this.

Now imagine you are a dieter and you have a specific goal in mind. You need to lose 10 lbs in one week.

You know you need one heck of a diet to do this and because you are desperate to hit this goal, you are willing to spend money. In your search you are specific. You may type something like 'diet to lose 10 lbs fast' or maybe 'rapid weight loss diet' for example. Now that's a more specific search and the dieter is looking for a product or diet, that they are willing to pay for and they want it quick.

Some other similar examples might be:

• 'get clear skin' compared to 'buy skin cream'
• 'noisy dog' compared to 'how do I stop my Alsatian barking'

In both of the above examples the second phrase is the buying keyword. This is more likely to be typed in by someone searching for a specific solution to a problem. They are more than likely willing to spend a few bucks in the process as well.

What does this mean as a blogger / website owner or affiliate marketer?

Well it means that you want your blog or website or affiliate offer to show up on the front page of Google when someone searches with these buying terms and phrases. This way you are receiving very targeted surfers to your site that have their credit card in hand.
